UTAH FALCONERS ASSOCIATION
HUNTING, CONSERVATION, EDUCATION
The Utah Falconer's Association is dedicated to promoting the education and conservation of birds of prey and appreciation of their value in nature and wildlife conservation programs. We advocate for falconry as a field sport and are dedicated safeguarding its practice.
HELP UFA HELP RAPTORS
Since our founding, we have stayed true to the code of falconers: putting birds of prey first. Falconers, including members of our own club, pioneered the efforts to bring the Peregrine Falcon back from the brink of extinction. These efforts included the development of successful captive breeding, and adapting the ancient falconry techniques of "tame-hacking" raptors to introduce captive-bred raptors back into the wild. Learn more about how you can help in our conservation efforts here!
SO YOU'RE INTERESTED IN FALCONRY
Falconry, the Sport of Kings, is an ancient practice with a rich history crossing many cultures and millennia. From Attila the Hun to King Frederick to . . . you?
UFA believes excellent falconry begins with a proper education. Whether you're a master falconer or considering apprenticeship, we all have something to learn. The UFA puts on several educational workshops, and you're invited.

A MESSAGE FROM THE UFA PRESIDENT
"Welcome to Utah Falconers Association website. I am Krista Hong Edwards, current club President. After spending a few years without a bird, and observing world-renowned falconers all over the world, I have since decided to pursue falconry in the form of longwings - large falcons. Utah is an excellent state to practice falconry, with its abundance of wild raptors proving that there is quarry to be found and skies to be flown in. It is a journey worth undertaking. If you have any questions, please use the contact us form at the top of the page! Events are approximately every 4 months. We are looking forward to hearing from you, and happy hawking!" - Krista Hong Edwards
